Vetheo is making his return to the LFL after four years in the LEC
After competing for four years in the LEC without achieving the expected success, Vincent "Vetheo" Berrié has reached a verbal agreement with Vitality.Bee, according to sources close to Sheep Esports. The midlaner marks his return to the LFL, where he previously played with LDLC OL in 2020, and is determined to prove himself once again in the ERL's top-level competition, aiming to earn his way back into the LEC. The player also had interest from Team GO and Gentle Mates, but he wasn't their priority. If Vetheo had not joined VITB, they would have chosen Šimon "OMON" Řiháček instead. They had also considered Kamil "Kamiloo" Haudegond.
Who is Vetheo?
Vetheo is a perfect example of the pure talent from France's League of Legends esports scene. Starting in 2019 in the French Open Tour, the country’s tier-3 circuit, he quickly caught the attention of Léo "Lounet" Maurice and joined LDLC in the LFL the following year. Alongside the legendary Bora "YellOwStaR" Kim, who had come out of retirement, Vetheo had an impressive first year in the ERL. They won the 2020 Lyon E-sport tournament, placed second in the LFL Spring Split, and clinched the EMEA Masters title. Summer was slightly less successful; they finished fourth in the LFL but still reached the semifinals in the EMEA Masters. It was already clear at the time that Vetheo was destined for the LEC.
He reached the LEC in 2021 with Misfits Gaming, where he spent two years until the organization sold its slot and exited League of Legends. Often playing alongside rookies or inexperienced teammates, Vetheo couldn’t quite reach the LEC podium, repeatedly losing in playoffs BO5s to teams like Fnatic and G2 Esports. The 2023 and 2024 seasons proved even more challenging. He joined XL Esports, finishing last in both the Winter and Spring Splits. Leaving the team, he found a brief resurgence with Team Heretics in the Summer, finishing fourth, only to lose a decisive BO5 against — once again — Fnatic, cutting his Worlds journey short. This year, Vetheo joined Vitality's LEC roster, but their performances were inconsistent and fell short of expectations. Despite a strong Spring where they finished fourth, they struggled in the Summer and were among the two teams that didn’t make it past the BO1 phase.
Despite fluctuating results, Vetheo stands out in the league as one of the midlaners with the best performance stats. Known for his resource-intensive playstyle and often positioned as his team’s main carry, he achieved the third-highest rating among LEC midlaners, scoring 62/100. He is also the third most lethal midlaner this year, averaging 3.8 kills per game, but also ranks third in deaths, with an average of 2.93 per game.
VITB roster is now complete
With the addition of the French midlaner, Vitality.Bee’s roster is finally complete. His experience and return to the French league after four years in the LEC will undoubtedly elevate the team’s overall level, as he brings his ability to dominate the midlane—something fans witnessed during his first LFL stint in 2020.
Vetheo joins a well-rounded roster, including a botlane with serious potential: Josip “Jopa” Čančar, who is re-signing with the team, and Kadir “Fleshy” Kemiksiz, who is coming off a strong year with KCB. Sheep Esports also recently announced a verbal agreement with toplaner Maximilian “Vertigo” Rassi and experienced jungler Lukas "Lurox" Thoma.
Vitality.Bee's reported 2025 roster:
- Top: Maximilian “Vertigo” Rassi
- Jungle: Lukas "Lurox" Thoma
- Mid: Vincent "Vetheo" Berrié
- ADC: Josip “Jopa” Čančar
