Štěpán "Ambi" Beránek and Berkant "Wolfen" Joshkun have signed with CGN Esports in VCL DACH, sources tell Sheep Esports on Thursday. CGN is preparing for their new competitive year in the league after a more than successful season, having won the first split of the year and finished as finalists in the second split. They also placed third in the Ascension Tournament for VCT qualification, falling short against PACIFIC Esports. Interestingly, the organization also announced a recent affiliation with Team Heretics, which competes in VCT EMEA. This partnership could provide an opportunity for the most promising players on the roster to be called up to the team if the chance arises.

Several moves for CGN

As one of the two additions to the roster, Ambi has gained recognition for his strong performances in the French Valorant scene with Valiant, where he recently achieved a runner-up finish. His ability to adapt to various roles and agents has made him a priority for the club, as he brings tactical flexibility and consistency to the table. He will be accompanied with a player with great experience despite his young age. At 21 years old, Wolfen joins CGN Esports following stints with multiple teams, including KOI—a Tier-1 organization—and recent competition in the Chinese Valorant circuit. Taking over Ross "aNguiSt" Pendleton's position, Wolfen’s experience at the highest levels of play positions him as a key asset in CGN's push for success in 2025.

Meanwhile, aNguiSt is expected to leave the team and join Metizport in the VCT North league. The British player participated in trials with Tier-1 teams but ultimately did not secure a spot. He also declined offers from Saudi Arabian organizations, choosing to continue competing in Europe. Additionally, Benjamin "BennY" Domgörgen will retire as a player after four years with the team. However, he is expected to transition into a coaching or support role to remain part of the organization.

CGN Esports's reported 2025 roster:

  • Štěpán "Ambi" Beránek
  • Berkant "Wolfen" Joshkun
  • David "DaviH" Cruz
  • Dragan "elllement" Milanović
  • Vincent "Vince" Kranz
  • Head Coach: Navid "Kapio" Javadi
