According to sources close to Sheep Esports, the expected groups for Stage 1 of the VCT EMEA have been drawn.

The groups were seeded according to each team's Kickoff placement. Group Alpha consists of Team Vitality, Apeks, Natus Vincere, GIANTX, FNATIC, and Team Heretics, while Group Omega includes Team Liquid, Movistar KOI, Karmine Corp, Gentle Mates, BBL Esports, and FUT Esports.

Set to begin following the conclusion of Masters Bangkok, the group stage will follow a single round robin format. Similar to the other International Leagues, the top four teams in each group will advance to Playoffs in a bid to qualify for Masters Toronto.

It was later revealed that a second draw will be conducted for Stage 2. Unlike last season — which had year-round groups with both cross-group and intragroup play throughout the year to ensure each team played each other once — there now emerges a chance that some teams may not be able to play against every other organization regionally in the year.
