Hiro won VCT EMEA Stage 2 with Fnatic
NAVI has made a big move on the transfer market. According to Sheep Esports sources, the Ukrainian club has reached an agreement to secure the services of Emirhan "hiro" Kat for the upcoming VCT EMEA season. The Dutchman, who impressed in the Turkish Challengers League at the start of the year, made a stunning entrance into the VALORANT regional elite with Fnatic. Hiro arrived to replace Leo "Leo" Jannesson, who was suffering from health problems, following the club's disastrous run at Masters: Shanghai. Although Fnatic had looked very shaky in the first half of the 2024 season, the Black and Orange once again became untouchable in Europe with the arrival of the young Sentinel. The British club won all its matches in the Alpha group of Stage 2. In the playoffs, Fnatic almost fell to Karmine Corp in the first round. But the men led by Jake "Boaster" Howlett won in the end and then went on to win the grand final against Vitality. Fnatic, however, missed out on Champions, losing in the first round of the Upper Bracket to Heretics, and later losing in the Lower Bracket to Sentinels.
For Hiro, these few months have allowed him to increase his popularity. According to Sheep Esports sources, the player was sought after by a number of EMEA teams during the offseason. In the end, it was NAVI that won the race, and the club really needed it. After a convincing Kick-Off and three excellent first weeks in Stage 1, the roster led by Kyrylo "ANGE1" Karasov faltered in the rest of the season. NAVI was knocked out in the first round of the playoffs for two of the year’s Stages.
