Erik "Treatz" Wessén is set to return to competitive play in Europe with NORD Esports in the NLC, according to sources close to Sheep Esports. After a split as an Assistant Coach for Dignitas in the LCS last summer, the Swedish support player is again picking up his keyboard to rejoin the competition and dive into the vibrant scene of the NLC in 2025.

The last time Treatz competed professionally was in the LCS with Immortals during Summer 2023. He began his career in 2015 and quickly made his way through the ERLs, playing for teams like GIANTS, Team ROCCAT, and Movistar Riders in the Superliga. He is best known for his time with TSM in 2019/2020, followed by two years with SK Gaming in the LEC.

Treatz has been one of the latest free agents to secure a team this offseason, having bided his time while waiting for a potential opportunity to join Disguised or Dignitas as a support in the LTA. He was also among the final candidates considered by KOI Academy before they ultimately signed support Kamil "kamilius" Košťál.

NORD almost ready to conquer

This hasn’t gone unnoticed: NORD Esports is assembling a rather solid roster on paper. With the arrival of Treatz, the team now boasts three players who have previously competed in the LEC or LCS. Among them are Tamás “Vizicsacsi” Kiss, who made his mark in the EU LCS with Unicorns of Love and later with Astralis in 2022, and Lucas "Santorin" Tao Kilmer Larsen, returning after a year of retirement in 2024 following five years of competition in NA.

Joining them is Frederik “NoWay” Hinteregger in the mid lane, who recently defeated Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok himself at the Red Bull League of Its Own and is making his first foray outside his home region in Germany. Combining entertainment with former Tier 1 league players, the NLC continues attracting unique profiles and promising ever more exciting content.
