Falcons sells its roster and eventual VCT slot to The Ultimates
According to sources close to the Sheep Esports, the Saudi Arabian team The Ultimates has reached a verbal agreement with nearly all members of Team Falcons to compete in the VALORANT Champions Tour 2024: Ascension EMEA under their organization’s name. If they win Ascension, The Ultimates will secure the Ascension slot, provided all necessary documentation is submitted.
Sources indicate that Team Falcons informed their Valorant roster last week that they would not continue investing in the Valorant project, allowing the players to seek other opportunities ahead of the EMEA Ascension tournament, which begins on August 31st.
According to sources, Team Falcons does not plan to continue investing in the men's Valorant circuit in the long term, and announced the release of their players on August 5th
Most of the Team Falcons players have reached an agreement with The Ultimates, but sources indicate that the team’s duelist, Saif "Akai" Alnuaimi, will not be able to participate in Ascension due to mandatory military service. Team Falcons were looking for ways to help him delay his service.
Therefore, the players who have reached an agreement with The Ultimates are: Mohammad "Moh" Abdulaziz, Abed "SpY" Doughan, and Khalid "KHaaLiD" Al-Talib. Mark "sand" Emad, who was on loan to Team RA'AD, returned to his original team following the disbandment. However, sources confirm that an agreement has also been reached with him to play in Ascension.
The Ultimates are seeking a replacement for their duelist Akai and are considering North American players such as Hunter "furbsa" McMillan. German player Haydem "Click" Ali, currently on the bench in SK Gaming, is also among the considered options.
