TakeSet plays it safe after last year's offseason
AD Carry Belan "TakeSet" Ahour is set to return to Solary in the LFL, sources tell Sheep Esports on Friday. Through this move, the French organization is the first team to make changes to its LFL roster ahead of the Summer Split. It is expected that more changes will follow in the coming weeks.
To open 2024, TakeSet unfortunately had a very difficult off-season. First reaching an agreement with Papara SuperMassive, the player would soon find himself teamless due to the organization being declared as infringing on LTR requirements in the TCL, as reported by Sheep Esports last offseason.
Initially having been considered as a first option to many LFL teams, the Danish player found himself in a predicament late into the spring off-season. Per sources, Solary sought to re-sign the player in October, to no avail. In November, as all LFL teams had already acquired an AD Carry by the time he had left Papara SuperMassive, he joined FUT Esports instead, another organization from the Turkish ERL.
On the bright side, TakeSet and his agency, Tailors, succeeded in signing with FUT for only one split, a pretty rare occurance considering that players usually sign yearly contracts. Later, during his time with FUT Esports, TakeSet finished in fifth place within the TCL.
On the other hand, Solary's Spring Split was also marked with disappointing results, as the team ended in 7th place within the LFL, failing to reach the playoffs stage despite a good start to their off-season.
With this change, the team's former bot laner Nihat "Innaxe" Aliev will effectively be benched. However, it is likely that the Bulgarian AD Carry will find a new team as he currently is free to explore options with no buyout.
More changes are to come for Solary this offseason.
