An era comes to an end for Veni Vidi Vici. The team, which claimed victory in Superliga 2 last summer, secured promotion to the first division, and made its debut in the Spanish elite this winter without altering a single member of its roster, is now set for change. According to Sheep Esports sources, despite a convincing third-place finish in the Winter Split, VVV will be making adjustments: toplaner Zidaru "Coatpustmain" Laurentiu-Dodel is set to be replaced by Turkish player Soner "StarScreen" Kaya.

StarScreen has spent nearly his entire career in his home country. He entered the Turkish competitive scene in 2019, at a time when the TCL was still considered a Tier 1 league, granting its top teams access to international events. His first taste of global competition came at MSI 2021, following a Winter Split victory with Istanbul Wildcats. It was also with the Istanbul-based organization that he secured two additional TCL titles in 2022, earning a second MSI appearance and, more notably, his first—and to date, only—Worlds participation.

Inactive since last Summer

Following his tenure with the Wildcats, StarScreen joined FUT Esports but fell short of securing a fourth domestic title, losing the Spring 2023 final against his former team. A third-place finish in Summer 2023 and a fifth-place result in Winter 2024 with FUT marked his last official performances before stepping away from the competition for the Summer Split. He briefly returned to assist BAAM Esports in their bid for promotion to the Arabian League's first division via the Up&Down tournament, but the effort proved unsuccessful. Having also remained inactive this past winter, StarScreen is now set to make his return to competitive play.
