Lyon Gaming, founded from the merger of Movistar R7 and Six Karma, is set to sign Saint from DK Challengers.
Kang "Saint" Sung-in has reached a verbal agreement to play for Lyon Gaming in the LTA North, according to Sheep Esports sources. The 19-year-old Korean talent played in the LCK CL and Academy Series under Dplus KIA's banner since the 2022 season, but this year was his first time as their starting CL midlaner all year. Saint drew global attention in the offseason for his performance this year in the LCK CL, and his Tier 1 debut this year began to seem inevitable.
Several teams in the LTAN and LEC considered Saint for their rosters — however, per the Global Contract Database, Saint's contract with DK Challengers expires in 2025. Interested teams needed to reach transfer agreements with DK to secure him for their roster.
Before Cloud9 signed Loki, for example, the team was interested in signing Saint. KOI, in the LEC, was also interested — if the Spanish organization failed to secure Jojopyun for their LEC roster, they had an offer for Saint ready instead. As reported by Sheep Esports, though, KOI secured Jojopyun earlier this month.
Lyon Gaming, competing as the LTAN's LLA team next year, is the combined venture of Movistar R7 and Six Karma. Even before their team was officially announced, the team was negotiating with players to create a roster that would maximize their competitive chances next year.

- Top: Eric "Licorice" Ritchie
- Jungle: Sebastián "Oddie" Alonso

- Support: Pedro Luis "Lyonz" Peralta
