Faker of HOTS is set to remain in the LCS
Toplaner Lee "Rich" Jae-won is set to remain in the LCS. While the Player had considerations from other LCS teams, he decided to remain with Dignitas. This information comes sources close to Sheep Esports.
Rich was Dignitas' top priority this offseason and he committed to the team a few days ago. Dignitas had a plan to rebuild around him, both in terms of the roster and coaching staff. The organization also expects to welcome a South Korean coach to join their ranks. Jungler Lawrence Lin "eXyu" Xu has already been reported as part of the team by Sheep Esports.
From HOTS to league
Rich, often referred to as "the Faker of HOTS," gained prominence as a renowned player in another MOBA, Heroes Of The Storm. He boasts an impressive record of winning 12 international tournaments and maintaining a remarkable 41-match winning streak. During this period, he played for the dominant MVP Black, which was later acquired by Gen.G.
It's also with Gen.G that Rich started his League Of Legends career. Rich climbed all the way up to the LCK at peak of 4th place in the LCK 2021 Summer Playoffs with Nongshim RedForce.
In 2022, Rich made the move to the LPL. His team, Victory Five, clinched the top spot in the Spring regular season. However, despite this achievement, the team fell short of securing a spot at Worlds that year. Following a disappointing Spring season in 2023, Rich parted ways with V5 and joined Dignitas. Now, Rich is gearing up for a fresh start with the team, aiming to improve upon their 5-6th place finish at the LCS 2023 Championship last summer.
