Case's team will not stay together for next season
According to sources close to the Sheep Esports, Rúben "Rhuckz" Barbosa has reportedly verbally agreed with Movistar KOI for the upcoming Superliga split.
A few weeks ago, we announced via Sheep that the Brazilian organization of Case Esports was closing its League of Legends section and leaving the Superliga spot vacant for the next split; this meant that all players in the team could explore offers freely for the coming months.
All Roads lead to KOI
After a brief stint in the LEC and a playoff at FnaticTQ, where he was not expected to play, Rhuckz, the Portuguese 'captain', faced a summer split where he decided not to compete. This decision raised questions about the future of his career, leaving fans and followers uncertain about what was to come.
Despite this, the player himself shared on his social networks in November last year his desire to compete again and faced the challenge of a newly promoted Case Esports with a roster full of ambitions.
Following a split where Movistar KOI's expectations were not met, the Madrid team decided to explore the market. Rhuckz, with his impressive track record, became a highly sought-after player for teams looking to make changes in the support position. He received offers from both the Superliga and the LFL despite the efforts of several French teams to secure his signature. Ultimately, Rhuckz chose to return to his 2019 home, Movistar KOI, in his quest to lift the Super League Cup once again.
Three years after the creation of the club of Ibai Llanos and Gerard Piqué, the paths of KOI and Rhuckz cross again with a different result to that offseason where all roads lead to Rome sooner or later.
