Rekkles will play in the LCK Challengers League next year
Support player Carl Martin Erik "Rekkles" Larsson has reached a verbal agreement with T1 in order to join their T1 Esports Academy. The European star is set to compete in the LCK Challengers League next year.
During the recent Worlds event, various sources have informed Sheep Esports that Rekkles was frequently seen at the T1 facility in Seoul. Additionally, other sources have confirmed that Rekkles was participating in scrims with T1 Academy during that period.
Despite considering options in the LEC, Rekkles has now finalized an agreement to play in Korea with T1, as verified by sources close to Sheep Esports.
T1 requires no introduction, having clinched the World Championship title just yesterday. Although he won't be part of the LCK main team, Rekkles' presence in the LCK Challengers League under such a prestigious organization is sure to capture the attention of many fans. Moreover, T1 has a history of promoting players from their Academy team, such as Toplaner Choi "Zeus" Woo-je.
Rekkles will be joining T1 after a unique year. Beginning the year with Fnatic in the LEC Spring Split, the Swedish player ended up teamless in the Summer Split following his decision to transition to the Support role.
