A Strategic Addition
Initially joining the organization's academic division in February, Nicolas Perez has worked hard within the LVP Superliga. With sources indicating the promotion of Lee "Juhan" Ju-han to the LEC and possibly another GIANTX Academy player, the French coach seems like a sensible addition to the team amidst its rebuilding for the summer season.
Together, the two newly promoted members competed in the Spanish ERL, where they accomplished a miraculous run and nearly qualified for the EMEA Masters. Before the incidents leading to Juhan's addition, the team occupied 8th place with a cumulative score of 3 - 7. After the South Korean jungler joined, GXP elevated themselves to a 4th place finish in the group stage, before narrowly ending their playoff run in 3rd place, following a five-game series loss.
With the aim of providing additional strategic inputs to the team, Nicolas Perez should prove a valuable asset to GIANTX's lineup in the LEC. While the team still currently bears lower expectations than others due to recent poor results, it seems like it is trying its best to make changes with the goal of improving performances for the summer season.
Related to this promotion, the team has also decided to move its current strategic coach to its academic division. At this time, Sheep Esports cannot confirm what role the former South Korean jungler will occupy, though it is likely that he will fulfill the duties of head coach for GIANTX PRIDE.
This movement will be added to our Transfers Hub shortly after the publication of this article.
