Jensen returns to Dignitas after a split with FlyQuest
After a split with FlyQuest and an MSI qualification, midlaner Nicolaj "Jensen" Jensen returns to Dignitas in the League Of Legends Championship Series (LCS). This move marks the conclusion of Dignitas' offseason, during which they acquired four new players for the summer split. Sources provided this information to Sheep Esports on Thursday.
FlyQuest's decision to promote midlaner Song "Quad" Su-hyeong to their LCS team led to Jensen being benched, awaiting a potential transfer. Initially, FlyQuest hoped Jensen would play in the NACL and compete for the LCS spot. However, Jensen preferred to join Dignitas, which recently reached a verbal agreement with the player. As a result, FlyQuest will transfer Jensen to his new team without a buyout.
Dignitas midlaner Kim "Dove" Jae-yeon future is currently unknown by Sheep Esports sources.
Dignitas Sets Their Eyes on Worlds
With their new roster finalized, Dignitas is ambitiously aiming for Worlds. According to sources, Dignitas did not anticipate fielding this roster at the start of the offseason, but various developments have aligned in their favor. Their roster, as displayed in our Transfers Hub, currently consists of:
Toplane: Eric "Licorice" Ritchie
Jungle: Mingyi "Spica" Lu
Midlane: Nicolaj "Jensen" Jensen
AD Carry: Jesper "Zven" Svenningsen
Support: Jonah "Isles" Rosario
Jensen holds one of the most impressive careers among players in the LCS, boasting a total of eight Worlds appearances. However, he broke his streak last year by failing to qualify with Dignitas. Both parties have unfinished business, and the Danish midlaner is determined to deliver this season.
