BDS were the first team to lock their roster for next year. For some, the decision may have seemed hasty, but for the Swiss organization it was a no-brainer given the coveted status of its players. Before Yoon "Ice" Sang-hoon, it was Joel "Irrelevant" Miro Scharoll who was the first option on the toplane for many teams, and who allowed the first dominoes of the mercato to fall after being secured by BDS.

Next came Polat "Parus" Furkan Çiçek, who was also the number one option for several organizations — including G2 Esports, which then had to fall back on Labros "Labrov" Papoutsakis — given the role he occupies, which is lacking in Europe, and his explosion in the LFL (MVP of the Spring, Summer champion in the French league and at the EMEA Masters). In the end, it's Ice who completes this list of attractive BDS players on the market, as the AD Carry was one of Fnatic's options. The Black and Orange were keeping him on their radar as a potential successor to Oh "Noah" Hyeon-taek, according to sources close to Sheep Esports.

The interest expressed in Ice is not all that surprising, firstly when you consider that a new Korean duo was on the cards for Fnatic, with Yoon "Jun" Se-jun as a possible partner. But also because the AD Carry has had a convincing year at BDS, on an individual level. While the team has always finished bottom of the podium, he has remained a reliable player all year long. Starting with Spring, when he earned his place on Team of the Split. Then in Summer, he won the most regular-season MVPs titles (5) in the league and two in play-offs. According to Sheep Stats, Ice is the second-highest rated ADC in the league over the whole of 2024, behind Steven "Hans Sama" Liv and equal with...Noah.
