Óscar "Oscarinin" Muñoz Jiménez is set to re-sign with Fnatic for the next two years — the team may still be competing at Worlds 2024, but the organization has already decided to build around the Spanish toplaner. Fnatic sees Oscarinin as a core player on its roster — since the 2022 season, he has played exclusively under the FNC banner. His team doesn't intend to let that change.

From 2012 to 2018, Paul "sOAZ" Boyer was Fnatic's marquee toplaner, except for his stint on Origen — during that time, the organization tried three toplaners in two years. After him, the team settled on Gabriël "Bwipo" Rau, but ever since he role-swapped to the jungle in the latter half of the 2021 season, the position has looked shaky.

Fnatic tried rookie Adam "Adam" Maanane and veteran legend Martin "Wunder" Nordahl Hansen over the subsequent two years, but neither stuck with the organization. Oscarinin came up from Fnatic TQ, Fnatic's former sister team in the LVP Superliga, and Fnatic has decided that he will continue to be an integral part of the roster moving forward.

Suppose Oscarinin continues to play top for FNC for the entire duration of this new contract. In that case, he will be the longest-serving starting toplaner in the organization's history (in a single stretch).
