ESCIK won the 2022 Prime League Spring with GamerLegion
Tomasz "ESCIK" Skwarczynski will try his hand in another ERL, as the Polish midlaner has reportedly verbally agreed to join UCAM Esports for the upcoming Superliga (LVP) season, according to Sheep Esports sources. The 22-year-old will join the botlane Mert "Andariel" Kılıç and Besmir "iLevi" Jakupi, as the Spanish team hasn’t locked their jungler and their toplaner yet. ESCIK has participated once per year in the EMEA Masters since 2021 but still aims to reach playoffs as he never made it out of groups.
The ERL traveler
The midlaner debuted in the Portuguese league with EGN in 2021, before joining Illuminar Gaming in the Ultraliga for the summer and making it to the EMEA Masters - EU Masters at the time. The following year, ESCIK joined Gamers Legion in the Prime League where he found his first success in spring. This is the only trophy he won in his career so far. The team ran out of steam after this run, and the Polish player had a rougher time in the German league before moving on and reaching the EMEA Masters again in the Summer of 2023 with WLG (GLL).
This year, ESCIK bounced back by joining the Prime League again. Together with Austrian Force who made it to fourth place in Spring, and succeeded in qualifying for EMEA Masters Play-Ins. The team failed to go further after falling short against the TCL’s team Misa Esport in Group C (0-2). As he will join the Superliga in 2025, the midlaner will make his debut in his fifth different league within the ERL circuit.
Since 2017, UCAM Esports have struggled to consistently compete at the top of the Superliga. Despite a standout 2021 season and a respectable showing in 2024, the organization has often found itself near the bottom of the standings. In both 2022 and 2023, UCAM had to fight to retain their spot in the LVP through the promotion/relegation tournament. ESCIK should now try to perpetuate traditions by qualifying again for the EMEA Masters with his new team in the Spanish league, as he never missed the event since the start of his career.
