A familiar face returns to the LFL. According to Sheep Esports sources, Robert “Erdote” Nowak has reached a verbal agreement with Gentle Mates for the upcoming season of the French league. The support player previously spent three seasons in the LFL with BDS and BDS Academy from 2021 to 2022. Convincing from the start, Erdote had a strong beginning in 2022, marking the onset of what became known as the Swiss organization's curse: BDS Academy reached the LFL final in the Spring but ultimately fell to LDLC OL.
Erdote then had a chance to join the LEC after BDS’s catastrophic debuts in the EMEA League of Legends elite. However, the results remained disastrous and he returned to the LFL team after just eleven games—ten of which ended in defeat. Back in the LFL, alongside talented teammates like Adam “Adam” Maanane, Théo “Sheo” Borile, and Steven “Reeker” Chen, Erdote once again made it to the LFL final, only to face defeat once more.
The final losing streak extended weeks later as BDS Academy reached the EMEA Masters final but suffered yet another defeat. After another missed final in Spring 2024, BDSA finally secured their first League of Legends title in the Summer Split, dominating the LFL and claiming the EMEA Masters, cementing the organization's supremacy.
Ultra domination in the Ultraliga
By then, however, Erdote had departed, replaced by regional rising star Polat “Parus” Çiçek. Returning to his native Poland this season with Zero Tenacity's superteam, Erdote found great success, winning both Ultraliga splits and both editions of the European Pro League. However, Zero Tenacity struggled in the season’s two EMEA Masters editions, bowing out in the first round each time with a total record of one win and ten losses.
With Zero Tenacity announcing on Wednesday their departure from Riot Games titles, including League of Legends, Erdote was on the lookout for a new challenge. Gentle Mates, which evaluated several support candidates this offseason—including Kim “Piero” Jeong-hoon, Waleed “DeKap” Ismail, Vittorio “Click” Massolo, Mohamed “Myrtus” Rahli, and Olivier “Prime” Payet—found their final piece in Erdote.
Erdote joins as the fifth and final player of the 2025 Gentle Mates roster. After a modest first season in the LFL, the Luxurious opted to bring back Jeremy “Eika” Valdenaire to the midlane. The roster is completed by veteran Markos “Comp” Stamkopoulos alongside Panagiotis “Empyros” Tantis and Lanzo “Zicssi” Ciajolo, as previously reported by Sheep Esports.
