Limit will perform the functions of Assistant coach during this split
According to sources close to Sheep Esports, Danish support Mads “Doss” Schwartz has reached a verbal agreement with SK Gaming to play in the academy (SK Prime) in Prime League (Germany) as the starting support. The offer was accepted by the support after being benched for the upcoming LEC Summer Split. Sources close to Sheep Esports also indicate that ADC Thomas “Exakick” Foucou also received an offer to play in the academy, but he decided not to accept it and instead stay on the bench of the SK Gaming LEC team, awaiting future opportunities.
As reported earlier this month by Sheep Esports, Doss and Exakick will be replaced on SK Gaming by the Korean duo Cho “Rahel” Min-seong and Lee “HH” Hyun-ho. The reason behind Exakick's decision is that the ADC wants to return to his peak performance level which was not fully compatible with playing in Prime League this split according to his plans.
On the other hand, Dino “LIMIT” Tot, the current support for SK's academy team, has been benched from the roster. The Croatian player will however assist the team from the bench, performing assistant coach duties with his extensive experience surely being helpful for the team throughout the summer split. For now, ADC Matúš “Neon” Jakubčík will remain in the starting roster for SK Prime in the upcoming split.
End of an Era
This would be the first time in almost 4 years of competition that the botlane duo of Exakick and Doss would stop playing together. Exakick and Doss began competing together in July 2020 on LDLC OL, and from that moment, they had an upward trajectory culminating in reaching the LEC with SK.
Together, they established themselves as one of the best bot lanes in the LFL and European regional leagues overall. They qualified for the EU Masters 2020, finishing third. They won both LFL splits in 2022 with great dominance, also finishing first in the regular season, and that same year, they lost one EU Masters final and reached another semifinal.
After that successful year in 2022, SK Gaming acquired both players from the botlane for their LEC team, with Exakick being one of the most sought-after players in that offseason. In their almost two years with SK Gaming, they have never missed a Group Stage appearance, and their results have consistently been around the mid-table. Finally, Doss decided to play for SK's academy team alongside Neon.
