For their Tier 1 debut in the LTAN next year, DSG have finished assembling their roster.
Disguised, the popular esports organization of streamer Disguised Toast, have competed in League of Legends since mid-2023 — now, set to make their Tier 1 debut in the LTA's inaugural split, DSG have finalized their entire roster. Despite the lowest overall budget of any LTAN team, the roster features a mix of championship-winning veterans and promising young talent. Led by Brandon "Mash" Phan, a former LCS ADC, as their head coach, DSG will be the LTAN's scrappy underdogs.
DSG's experienced foundation comes from Felix “Abbedagge” Braun and Choi "huhi" Jae-hyun, who won the LCS together in 2021 with 100 Thieves. Though both players had down years in 2024 — Abbedagge was teamless in Spring and in the LFL in Summer, while huhi saw disappointing results despite joining NRG's championship roster — they've seen remarkably consistent results throughout their careers. With a midlaner hoping to reclaim his "Fakerdagge" moniker and a support long lauded for his shotcalling skills, the team certainly has potential.
Cho "Castle" Hyeon-seong and Lawrence Lin "eXyu" Xu both played in the LCS this year but struggled to assert themselves consistently on stage. In Spring, Castle was praised by many of his opponents for his mechanics and carry prowess — but back-to-back 8th place finishes on Immortals seemed to take the wind out of his sails. Despite solid performances, eXyu was replaced with Mingyi "Spica" Lu ahead of Summer — though he made his LCS debut in 2022, he's never played a full season in the LCS.
ScaryJerry has the keys
Though Immortals and Dignitas were far from impressive this year, both teams came close to finding many wins throughout the season. With more stable players around them, DSG are hoping to bring out the latent potential in their toplaner and jungler.
Jeremiah "ScaryJerry" Leathe is by far the most interesting addition to the roster. The young ADC is set to make his Tier 1 debut with DSG after a strong season in the NACL — with Dragonsteel, the NACL team of Maryville University, ScaryJerry placed second in the Spring playoffs and CLOL, and went on to win his first NACL trophy in Summer. With talented North American botlaners like Sean "Yeon" Sung and Fahad "Massu" Abdulmalek stealing the spotlight — in the LCS and on the international stage — over the last year, ScaryJerry has a lot to live up to. If he manages to adapt to the LTAN level, though, DSG could be a real threat.
