Barça eSports has reached an agreement with former Valiant player, Adam "Jesse" Čtvrtníček
According to sources close to Sheep Esports, Barça eSports has decided to bench Victor 'kpZET' Boldsen Steengaard ahead of the EMEA Ascension tournament, the annual promotion competition, that will start on August 31st. Instead of the Danish player, the Blaugrana team has verbally agreed to bring on Adam "Jesse" Čtvrtníček, who is expected to join their Valorant roster in the coming days.
Barça eSports made this decision with Ascension in mind, believing it is the optimal way to increase their chances of securing a coveted spot in the 2025 VCT EMEA, and to start laying the foundation for a potential 2025 project. The player will join the team to play in the Ascension tournament.
Jesse, the controller player known for his performances with Omen and Viper, competed with the French team Valiant where he had strong showings all year long in the VALORANT Challengers France: Révolution. Although his team finished second in the French competition, after losing 3-0 to the champion Joblife, they still qualified to the Play-Ins of Ascension. But in the end, Valiant failed to qualify for the Main Event, after losing to KPI Gaming (2-1).
