Kellin has signed with FearX until 2026 and will be joining Diable and Kellin

Lee "VicLa" Dae-kwang has found a new team. After almost three years with KT Rolster and two years abroad, the midlaner returns to his home league and joins FearX until the end of 2026, as announced by the organization on their social media on Friday. He takes over the spot previously held by Lee "Clozer" Ju-hyeon, who has departed to join OK BRION.

The midlaner is thus returning to familiar grounds, a league he knows well after competing in two splits with KT Rolster in 2022. Back then, he was promoted from the Challengers team in 2021, where he earned his spot thanks to strong performances with the academy roster in 2020. However, his global experience didn’t allow him to stay with the team after two and a half years of loyal service.

He then moved to the LCS in 2023, joining FlyQuest, where he experienced significant ups and downs. The team finished 3rd in Spring but dropped to 9th in Summer despite high expectations placed on him, Jeong "Impact" Eon-young, and the rest of the roster. Seeking another opportunity, he moved again, this time to the LPL with Rare Atom. Unfortunately, it was another disappointing year: 15th place in Spring out of 17 teams, followed by an early exit in the first round of the Summer Playoffs. Rare Atom recently announced their exit from League of Legends and their disbandment as of January 1, 2025, leaving their star player VicLa as a free agent on the market.

FearX are halfway through their new project

After two years of experience in Tier 1 international leagues, VicLa has finally returned to settle with FearX, who are building a roster that looks quite promising on paper. He is their third signing, following the announcement of their botlane. This includes AD Carry Nam "Diable" Dae-geun, who is entering the league for the first time after being promoted from the LCK CL roster, and the experienced Kim "Kellin" Hyeong-gyu, who joins the team after spending three years with Dplus KIA.

They could very well be the only three signings for FOX, as Song "Clear" Hyeon-min, Jeon "Raptor" Eo-jin, and Kim "Willer" Jeong-hyeon are still under contract until the end of 2025. One of the two junglers will likely be leaving, as Willer didn’t play during the Summer split and was benched in favor of Raptor. For now, FOX are clearly showing their ambition: to perform better than in 2024 and secure a spot in the top 5, challenging the league's giants.
