Four teams ended the regular season tied at 6-3
From February 6 to 18, the Swiss Stage of the Superliga (LVP) Winter Split, Spain's League of Legends competition, will take place. Eight of the ten teams advanced to this second phase following the regular season, with Guasones and ZETA being eliminated. In this Swiss Stage format, two wins secure a playoff spot, while two losses result in elimination. Only the first round will be played as a best-of-one (BO1), whereas qualification and elimination matches will follow a best-of-three (BO3) format.
The first-round matchups were determined based on regular-season standings. Table leaders Los Heretics, who finished with seven wins and two losses, will face eighth-seeded Barça eSports in a rematch of the 2024 Summer Split final. Meanwhile, four teams ended the regular season tied at 6-3. Among them, Ramboot Club will take on seventh-placed UCAM Esports (4-5), while Veni Vidi Vici will face sixth-seeded KOI Fénix (5-4). The remaining two teams with a 6-3 record, GIANTX Pride and LUA Gaming, will go head-to-head in the fourth matchup. Follow the progression of the Swiss Stage in this article.

After the Swiss Stage, four teams will advance to the best-of-five (BO5) playoffs. The two undefeated teams from this phase will clash in the upper bracket final, with the winner securing a direct spot in the grand final, while the loser drops to the lower bracket. The teams that qualify with a 2-1 record will meet in the first round of the lower bracket, where the winner will move on to face the upper bracket finalist in a battle for the second grand final spot.
The Final Four in Madrid
Additionally, the two Superliga Winter Split finalists will earn a place in the first EMEA Masters (EM) of the year. Alongside France’s LFL and Germany’s Prime League, Spain holds two slots in the tournament, a privilege granted based on the performances of its teams over the past two seasons. While Spain has not claimed an EM title since Team Heretics' victory in Summer 2022—just before the team's promotion to the LEC—Movistar Riders reached the final in Summer 2023. Additionally, the Heretics academy reached the semi-finals in both the Spring 2023 and Summer 2024 editions.
As a reminder, the ten Superliga teams accumulate points across the three splits based on their performances. The top four teams will meet in Madrid on August 30 and 31 for the Final Four, where the season’s best team will be crowned. Meanwhile, the team with the lowest points total at the end of the year will have to compete in a promotion-relegation tournament against the top teams from the Liga Nexo, the league's secondary circuit.
