This Wednesday, on the first day of the 8th and final week of the regular season of the LFL Summer Split, BK ROG secured one of the three last playoffs spots after their victory against Team du Sud. This leaves three teams competing this Thursday for the two remaining playoffs spots: Solary, Team GO and GameWard.

Each team still has its fate in its own hands, and a victory would guarantee each of them a direct qualification to the playoffs and the EMEA Masters Last Chance Qualifiers. Especially as two of these teams, Solary and GO, meet on the final day. To qualify:

But doubt looms over each of these teams. Solary completely rebuilt its roster at the end of 2023, investing in four veterans and their rookie support, Mohamed "Myrtus" Rahli, with the goal of achieving at least a top 3 finish in the LFL. They already missed the playoffs last spring, failing to qualify in their very last game of the regular season, allowing Gentle Mates to make a miraculous run to third place in playoffs.

The last time Solary competed in playoffs was in 2023 for both splits, where they never managed to win a single game. It sure is a motivation for players to finally break the curse and get a win tonight versus Team GO.

The Red Storm is also currently going through a rough period. Having had a worse second half of the split compared to Solary and GameWard (4 wins, 4 losses), they would be eliminated if all three teams ended up tied (if they lose and Gameward wins).

On the other side GameWard seems like the team with the upper hand here as they currently have a momentum and won their last three games including wins against Solary and Team GO. The two former Solary players Pierre "Steeelback" Medjaldi and Pengcheng "Peng" Shen may have a good chance to finally access playoffs and achieve a good run while their previous club is facing their demons.
