The LFL Summer Split 2024 has been marked by numerous record-breaking performances from both players and teams, highlighting an exceptionally competitive season. This split was again largely dominated by two teams, BDS Academy (1st place) and Karmine Corp Blue (2nd place), which broke a significant number of records along the way.

Dominance of BDS Academy and Karmine Corp Blue

Ending the season with 17 wins and only 1 loss, BDSA has equaled the best record established by LDLC OL during Summer Split 2022. They proved their domination by getting 372 kills which explodes the previous killing record which was held by Karmine Corp (325 kills). If we have alook on gold advantage at 15 minutes in the game, KCB achieved a +10,617 on average, surpassing the previous record of +10,057 held by Vitality.Bee. This translates how dominant the Blue Wall was in its early game.

On an individual level for BDSA's players, Janik "JNX" Bartels achieved the most kills by a toplaner with 82 kills, breaking the previous record of 79 set by Adam "Adam" Maanane. Rudy "SkewMond" Semaan now holds the record for the most assists by a jungler, with 202 assists, overtaking the previous record of 193 by 113. In the AD Carry role, Tim "Keduii" Willers set a new record for the most assists, with 154 assists, beating the previous record of 139 held by Matthew "xMatty" Coombs. Polat "Parus" Furkan set a new record for the most kills by a support, with 32 kills, breaking his own previous record of 31.

At KCB, Caliste "Caliste" Henry-Hennebert set a new record for the most kills in a regular split, achieving an impressive 134 kills. His support, Kadir "Fleshy" Kemiksiz, broke the record for the most assists, with 239 assists, surpassing the previous record of 226 held by Jules "Hantera" Bourgeoix. Volodymyr "Maynter" Sorokin set a new record for the most assists by a toplaner, with 144 assists, surpassing Lucas "Cabochard" Simon-Meslet's previous record of 136. Felix "Abbedagge" Braun broke the record for the most assists by a midlaner, achieving 157 assists, surpassing Steven "Reeker" Chen's previous record of 148.

Both teams will face in playoffs next week

After a thrilling scenario on the last day of the regular season, Team GO and Gameward qualified to playoffs and ended Solary's dream to finally reach the EMEA Masters Last Chance Qualifier. It was also confirmed that Aegis will have to go through the Up&Down tournament after their loss against KCB and ending at the 10th place.

LFL playoffs directly start on July 20 with Vitality.Bee facing GameWard which just achieved a heroic 2nd half of their split. Other matches will be played next week starting with BK ROG against Team GO next Wednesday, before the two favourites to win the title, BDSA and KCB face off on Thursday. All matches start at 6:00pm CET.
