Rossy is returning to VCT Americas with LÉVIATAN.
Following their results in the VCT Americas Kickoff, LÉVIATAN have benched French import Nathan “nataNk” Bocqueho, who joined the Latin American organization in December. Taking his place will be Daniel “Rossy” Abedrabbo, making a return to competition after a controversial two-month stint with Cloud9 during the offseason.
nataNk originally joined from his previous run on Ascension EMEA team Gentle Mates alongside 2023 world champion Max "Demon1" Mazanov to fill the gap left by the departures of Roberto "Mazino" Rivas and Erick "aspas" Santos.
Despite entering Kickoff in high spirits, LÉVIATAN’s hopes of qualifying to Bangkok were put down by losses to G2 Esports and MIBR, ultimately finishing in 5th-6th place.
LEV’s impending roster moves come off the back of management, who have opted to make changes after just six matches and two wins with their 2025 lineup.
With Masters Toronto on the horizon, the addition of Rossy brings rejuvenated hopes for both sides: just weeks before the 2025 season began, Rossy was cut from Cloud9 in a move met with public outcry despite being cited as a “unanimous decision by the players and coaches.” Rossy also previously saw his time under T1 cut short in the early weeks of 2024 VCT Pacific Stage 2, with his spot being taken over by carpe.
Heading into Stage 1 groups, LÉVIATAN will be pitted for rematches against their Kickoff losses in G2 and MIBR, while Rossy will receive a shot at revenge against Cloud9. NRG Esports and FURIA also join them, where only the top 4 teams from Group Omega will qualify to Playoffs.
