The last one might surprise you
During the transfer window, League of Legends managers' calendars are filled with countless calls with agents, players and other clubs... And no wonder, as Worlds is the ultimate aspiration for any team, summer is the last chance for teams to make any adaptations.
Although we haven't seen many changes in the LEC and LCS this offseason, there's always a few that didn't make it through. All changes listed in this article include at least one of the following scenario:
- Teams who had a verbal agreement with a player that was broken
- Teams who were rejected an offer made to a player.
- Teams who talked to a player out of interest.
- Teams who tried out a player.
- Teams who contacted another team in order to share interest in a player.
- Teams who contacted a player's agent due to interest in the player.

GX Canna, Chasy
Starting with Giantx, the team had a busy offseason with several changes. While the promotion of Th3Antonio was heavily considered, the club from Malaga also looked at some very strong toplaners on the market. With the promotion of Korean Jungler Juhan, this change also necessitated a change in the support position to comply with the maximum number of import slots allowed in a team.
Although Kim "Chasy" Dong-hyeon was considered, Kim "Canna" Chang-dong was the main candidate for the toplaner position from South Korea.

GX Mersa, Parus
As mentioned above, GIANTX would have needed a resident support if they decided on an import toplaner. For this reason, the team initially contacted Team BDS Academy regarding potential interest in LFL MVP Polat "Parus" Furkan Çiçek. However, since the buyout was too high, GIANTX opted for free agent Mertai "Mersa" Sari as a potential support option.

NRG Ignar
There's another reason GIANTX looked at potential support candidates: NRG had discussions with Lee "IgNar" Dong-geun during the offseason. The possibility of Ignar returning to his former team was considered but did not progress beyond talks. As GIANTX secured Th3Antonio, Ignar was also confirmed on the roster.

KC Boda
Karmine Corp considered many toplaners over the offseason, as reported by Sheep Esports. However, the most notable one is probably Nigma Galaxy's Mohamed "Boda" Yahia. The 18-year-old had tryouts with the LEC team, marking a first occurrence for a player from the Arabian League.
Later in the offseason, Boda managed to reach the EMEA Masters playoffs and is already sitting at a score of 7-1 in the Arabian League Summer Split.

KC Abbedagge
Vladi was always the first choice for the French team in the LEC, but at one point during the offseason, negotiations between Vladi and KC were strained due to disagreements over his contract length. At that time, KC talked to Felix "Abbedagge" Braun in case the negotiations with Vladi broke down completely, to make him the starting midlaner for LEC. In the end, Abbedagge playing in the LFL was also preferred by the German midlaner, so both parties achieved their desired outcome.

SK Loopy
The new botlane of SK Gaming started off strong in the LEC, but Lee "Luon" Hyun-ho wasn't the only support option considered during the offseason. DK Challengers support Kim "Loopy" Dong-hyeon also had talks with the German team. This is unsurprising, as Loopy and SK Gaming AD carry Cho "Rahel" Min-seong were on the same team, finishing second in the LCK CL 2024 Spring Playoffs. Ultimately, Loopy joined Isurus in Latin America.

FLY Zven (Coach)
Zven has once again demonstrated his versatility as a player. He has played both ad carry and support at a high level, winning the LCS in both positions. During the offseason, Zven also considered the possibility of coaching. While his priority remained playing as ad carry, he engaged in talks and negotiations with Flyquest to potentially become their coach, while the team continued discussions with Mithy, the current assistant coach of Flyquest.
Ultimately, Zven found a spot with Dignitas as an ADC as he accepted their offer. This move highlights his adaptability and continued commitment to competing at the highest level in the LCS.

C9 Tarzan
Yes, jungler Lee "Tarzan" Seung-yong was considered very early in the offseason by Cloud9. While replacing Robert "Blaber" Huang was never a priority, there were scenarios where this move could have been possible. Tarzan was considered before the acquisition of South Korean toplaner Park "Thanatos" Seung-gyu. The move would have also been possible if Kim "Berserker" Min-cheol had acquired his green card.
In the end, Tarzan joined Weibo Gaming in the LPL.

C9 Perkz (Toplane)
There was a possibility that Luka "Perkz" Perković could have returned to his former team in the LCS, but as a toplaner. However, Cloud9 ended up securing Park "Thanatos" Seung-gyu, who was contested by Karmine Corp, to replace Ibrahim "Fudge" Allami. Later in the offseason, Perkz announced on Twitter that he was taking a break.
