Squeezie, Gotaga and Brawks enter League Of Legends Esports
Gentle Mates, the organization led by French influencers Squeezie, Gotaga, and Brawks, is making its debut in League Of Legends Esports. The team, already established in VALORANT, has submitted an application to secure LDLC OL's spot in the LFL, sources reveal to Sheep Esports on Saturday.
While Gentle Mates' application is currently pending approval, they stand as the sole organization in contention to enter the LFL. It's believed that other organizations anticipated the entry of this French team into the league. The application submission deadline, organized by Webedia, concluded on October 1.
The team is proactively building its League Of Legends staff, having reached a verbal agreement with former LDLC OL Manager Giuliano "Eternity" Wölm. Additionally, they are poised to have former LDLC OL Head Coach Bjørn-Vegar "Hansen" Hansen join their ranks.
Regarding the roster, Gentle Mates have not reached any player agreement as they await confirmation of their inclusion in the LFL. They are actively pursuing high-profile French players but remain open to the possibility of recruiting international talent.
According to Sheep Esports sources, the organization is preparing for a presence across three esports next year, spanning to Rocket League, and League Of Legends in addition to VALORANT.
Gentle Mates celebrated an impressive inaugural year in VALORANT, securing victory in both the VALORANT Challengers 2023 France Splits. They further solidified their presence by winning the VCT 2023: Ascension EMEA tournament, earning a place in the 2024/2025 VCT EMEA Leagues for two years.
