Abbedagge was the first option of Team GO
On May 4th, Team GO announced Oliver "Dajor" Ryppa as their new starting midlaner for the 2024 Summer Split. The news of the midlaner was surprising to many, but the team had been actively seeking a replacement for this position for quite some time, even considering replacements in other roles.
Team GO's Midlane Options
Among the multiple options considered for the midlane was Felix "Abbedagge" Braun, who came very close to reaching an agreement with the team. Team Go requested a deadline from the player to decide where he will play, and ultimately Abbedagge decided to play for Karmine Corp's academy team, rejecting Team Go's offer.
In addition to Abbedagge, there were several other options, including Jeong "Mireu" Jo-bin, who ended up signing with Gentle Mates, and other midlaners like Šimon "OMON" Řiháček and Kang "Tempt" Myung-gu.
There were other possible scenarios, such as a support change in Team Go, but ultimately they did not occur. If Mersa had decided to play for any LFL team, the change could have triggered a chain reaction.
A short-term commitment
According to sources close to Sheep Esports, Dajor signed a contract for one split with Team Go.
Dajor is a midlaner who began his career in the Fnatic academy. After 4 months, Astralis promoted him to the LEC, where he competed as a starting midlaner for a year and three months until he was replaced by Adam "LIDER" Ilyasov. Following this, Dajor joined Rebels Gaming midway through a split, but they did not achieve the expected results and finished seventh in the Spanish League of Legends league.
This movement will be added to our Transfers Hub shortly after the publication of this article.
