"We will give our all against every team."
After ending the LFL Days 2024 with a 2-0 score, Rudy "SkewMond" Semaan and his team now find themselves at the top of the LFL standings. Having secured significant victories against the prestigious Karmine Corp Blue and Team GO's Red Storm, the young player spoke with Sheep Esports in this exclusive interview to discuss his expectations for the year 2024 with BDS Academy.

| After a convincing win against Team GO, how do you feel?
SkewMond: "I feel very good. Honestly, going 2-0 on stage is fantastic."
| The LFL Days, an event that brings together a large part of the fans. How does it feel to play in front of such a crowd?
SkewMond: "Honestly, it's always incredible, especially our game against KC. We were on Karmine's side of the stands. And honestly, we heard them well during our game. It puts a lot of pressure on us, but it also gives us a boost."
| You have had a very interesting career in the LFL. Last year, you joined Aegis, and now you are with a big team, BDS. How do you feel about this roster? Have any players helped you as mentors?
SkewMond: "Outside the game, I would say almost everyone. I think they managed to integrate me well into the team. It's the first time I've played full-time in a facility. And honestly, I am very well supported by BDS, and I think all the players, especially the coaches, really help me integrate well and feel good in the team."
| You may have been a bit more inexperienced before. Do you feel more comfortable than with Aegis?
SkewMond: "In terms of experience, I agree; I really had a lot of experiences. I had the chance to play with someone, notably, who taught me a lot in-game and out. And now, I think what changes a lot is really playing in facilities, being with your teammates day and night, and understanding them better. Whether in-game or out."
| Last year, you had some difficulties in certain matches. You were criticized for not being able to perform in important matches. Do you feel better about that this year?
SkewMond: "Yes, clearly, I think that once again, thanks to the help of my coaches and teammates, I managed to release that pressure. I think it's hard to see that we're spectators. But personally, I felt very good during our two games. And honestly, I'm very happy with my progression."
| Today, you are playing in the LFL with a team that could go for the title. Do you feel ready to go to the EMEA Masters to face the best teams in Europe?
SkewMond: "Yes, clearly. I think when we created the roster with the team, our ambitions were obviously to win the LFL and also aim for the EMEA Masters. And I think we're on the right track. I think we're moving very fast, and we're really starting to create good synergy. And I am very confident for the future."
| On your side, the scrims are going very well. However, last week, you went 0-2. Did that change your team's mentality a bit?
SkewMond: "Clearly, despite the 0-2 week, I think we already had a very good week of scrims. But there, I think we made twice as much effort, and we really thought about what was wrong in official games, and we tried to fix those problems in scrims. And honestly, well, I think we showed that we succeeded."
| We still see the Nunu hover, do you think you'll pick him one day, or is it too hard?
SkewMond: "No, honestly, I think Nunu is in a good state currently in the meta. I won't say too much, but anything is possible."
| This year, there have been a lot of changes, even at the map level. How do you feel about this meta? Today, you played a tank, do you feel good about it?
SkewMond: "Honestly, as a player, I feel like I can play anything, whether it's a tank or a carry. Honestly, I like the meta. In every draft scenario, you can always find an angle to play carries like Brand, Lee Sin, Viego, and others. For me, this meta really doesn't bother me; I find the champions really fun."
| You're at 5-3. How do you feel about the end of the first part of the group stage and the return matches?
SkewMond: "Honestly, I don't want to say we're a bit disappointed. I think we could have done a lot better. We are still satisfied with what we showed this week, and we remain very confident for the future. We will give our all against each team, whether it's TDS or anyone else in the return matches. And we will go there with confidence. It's the title or nothing."
