Opinion — League of Legends Esports must adapt or die

Co-streaming exposes problems, it doesn’t create them. In League of Legends, franchising replaced open competition with a closed system that weakened fan connection and storytelling. Western leagues decline while LCK grows. Open models like Counter-Strike suggest esports needs openness and competition, not rigid leagues, to stay relevant.
